The Messenger (Part II)

I have been wandering through this wilderness
plagued with loneliness for so long;
that I count my shadow as a companion,
although I can see it, I can never hold it,
I can give chase, yet never catch it,
my shadow is nowhere to be seen
when I’m alone in the cold darkness,
for my companion is only faithful
when I stand in the light.
I have been patient with this barren land
in the hope to find the garden of life,
a garden where there are no tears of sorrow,
a garden where the fruits of love
grow freely,
a garden where the trees never lose their leaves
because it's always summer,
there is no darkness just daylight.
