Little

Awake from my little bed
in my little room,
in my little flat,
have a wash
in my little bathroom,
put on my suit and
tie my tie into a little knot,
I’m on my way to my little job
and my little desk
overflowing with lots of work
and no window.
The big company
and their workers with little dreams;
who talk about the weather
and live for the weekend
and at the end of my long hours
at my little desk over flowing
with work and no window;
I join the flock of commuters
at the station
and enter the big train with little room
for more of the same tomorrow.
